Mokoro’s Predicatability Study cited by the World Bank

The new World Bank Aid Effectiveness Report “Performance to date and agenda ahead” (November 2011), which sets out the World Bank’s analysis of the new paradigm on aid effectiveness required for Busan and beyond, cites Mokoro’s Predictability Study as a key research source on aid predictability. CPA-"Securing Women’s Land Rights in Southern and Eastern Africa"

February 2012: Mokoro’s Elizabeth Daley took part in a lunchtime lecture on “Securing Women’s Land Rights in Southern and Eastern Africa”. This event was organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and took place at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 8th February at 1230. Also speaking were Simon Levine of ODI and Ruchi Tripathi of ActionAid International, with Heidi Alexander MP in the Chair. For more details click here.

The global synthesis report from the ILC’s commercial pressures on land study in which Mokoro participated is now available to download.

New Programme Coordinator

January 2012: Mokoro would like to welcome its new Programme Coordinator, Alessa Rigal. Previously, Alessa worked for KPMG in London, within their International Develoment Services as the project administrator. She worked under the high profile contract for the Independent Commission for Aid Impact, helping to provide a value for money perspective for the UK taxpayer through comprehensive reports on specific DFID projects across Africa and Asia. She has also spent the last 3 years advising and supporting asylum seekers and refugees in Glasgow, Birmingham and London for both the British Red Cross and the British Refugee Council.
